The Hope Realized

Rev. 7:10
...and crying out with a loud voice, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb!

A great multitude from every nation, all tribes, peoples, and languages will stand before the throne of God and before the Lamb clothed in white robes (the robes of righteousness given us by the blood of the Lamb) with palm branches in their hands (Hosanna! He is our peace!). On this day unlike  Calvary, the Lamb will have His rightful place at the Father's throne where He will hear the loud voices crying out, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb! How glorious! The angels, elders, and 4 living creatures will join in this chorus saying, Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen! All belongs to Him!

The question is posed by an elder, Who are these clothed in white robes and from where have they come? These people are those who came out of the great tribulation and have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb (the same blood that my robes have been washed in). It is only because of His blood that anyone stands before the Father and the Lamb. What do they do before His throne? Those washed and cleansed serve Him day and night,  sheltered and protected by His presence. What a place to be for eternity! But that is not all, they will never hunger or thirst. They are completely satisfied and whole in Jesus, the Lamb, who is in the midst of the throne. The Lamb will be their Shepherd, guiding them to springs of living water. He will be all that they ever need because He is the all-satisfying One. There will be no grief or tear. The battles are over! The victory won! What was once positional is now practical! What was once our glorious hope is now our glorious reality! What was once a foretaste is now the feast of all feasts!

Father,
Prepare my heart and soul for these glories yet to come. Help me to remember that these trials now are merely light, momentary afflictions preparing me for this eternal weight of glory, truly a glory beyond all comparison. Give me grace and strength to be faithful to the end so that on that day, I may join the chorus of praise.
In the name of and through the blood of the Lamb,
Amen
