Righteousness

Ps. 11:4
The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven; His eyes see, His eyelids test the children of men.

In the Lord His children must take refuge because He is the one who has ordained all life, the good and the bad, the blessing and the trial. He is in His holy temple, a temple that matches His holiness. There from His throne, He sees all. There from His throne He tests the children of men. How can man hide from Him? How can man claim He is not there? Why does man care more about what man thinks than what God knows? Such thoughts are foolishness.

The Lord tests the righteous to see if they are genuine. He is concerned with the heart and not the outward appearance. His trial becomes a refining process which results in the believer coming out like gold.  In contrast He hates the wicked. He cannot excuse or allow wickedness. Because He is righteous, He loves righteousness. It is the upright, the righteous, who will behold His face. This righteousness is not something that I do, it is the righteousness imputed to me by Jesus. When I come to the Father, I am covered in the blood and in the righteousness of the Son. In His righteousness, I can take refuge.

Father,
Thank You for covering me in Your righteousness. Give me grace to endure the trial and come out like gold..
In His name,
Amen
