Faith

Rom. 4:20-21
No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.

What amazing faith Abraham had! He believed without any doubt that God's promise concerning him as the father of many nations, even when he was 100 and Sarah's womb was barren, would come true. Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness. How amazing is grace! That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring-not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all...These verses make me think of Eph. 2:8-9,  for by grace are you saved through faith and not of works lest any man should boast. These are the same 2 components, faith and grace. Truly Abraham was the father of all who believe. But I am amazed when I see how strong his faith was when he predated Jesus Christ. God's gift to him was a gift not only for him but for all generations to have. How wonderful is God's love that He would reach down to man and work a saving miracle in his or her life.

Father,
Thank You for Your gifts of faith and grace and for the saving miracle that You have worked in my life. Strengthen my faith so that it wouldn't waver in all the situations that You send my way.
In Jesus life,
Amen
